出張の中で「東京から来た」と言うと、世界遺産の姫路城を見たほうが良いとアドバイスを受けました。そこで、姫路城を見ることにしました。今は国際化の時代です。弊サイトもその時代に乗っかり、英語表記も取り入れます(キャー、すごーい！)。google翻訳のコピペということは秘密です。
姫路へのアクセス
写真1. 大阪や神戸からのダイレクトアクセス新快速
私は神戸から神戸電鉄や加古川線を駆使してきましたが、普通は大阪や神戸からであれば、JRの新快速でアクセスが可能です。大阪では5番乗り場(平日の朝夕は3、4番乗り場)、三ノ宮であれば1番乗り場の新快速で到着します。大阪から姫路まで62分程度、三ノ宮から姫路まで40分程度の移動です。海が見やすい進行方法左側の座席がおすすめです。指定席料金や特急料金など、運賃以外の料金は不要です。ICOCAはもちろん、SuicaやPASUMOも使えます。もちろん、Japan Rail Passもね！
Normally, if you are from Osaka or Kobe, you can access with the new rapid of JR. 姫路駅から姫路城
姫路駅に着いたら、歩いていきましょう！道がわからない？そんな心配は不要です。駅の改札を出て右に曲がったら、そこは姫路城が待ち構えています。目の前の白い建物を目指せば良いのです。何個めの信号を左折して、そこから155m進んだら…なんてことはありません」。まっすぐ行くだけです。
When you arrive at Himeji station, let's walk! You do not know the way? Such worries are unnecessary. After leaving the station ticket gate and turning to the right, Himeji castle is waiting there. You only have to aim at the white building in front of you. There is no such thing as turning left for the number of signals and moving 155 m from there. Just go straight.

山陽電鉄で着いた場合？山陽電鉄に乗る時点で上級者ですから、私の出る幕はありませんよ(確か正面の出口から出てすぐ左折したら見えるはずです)。

駅から歩いたら(私のデジカメの履歴を見たら徒歩15分でした)、姫路城の敷地に入ります。ここから世界遺産にお目にかかれるのです(写真3)。After walking from the station (it was 15 minutes when I looked at the history of my digital camera), I will enter the site of Himeji Castle. From here you can see the world heritage (Picture 3).

ここから天守閣までの道順は説明不要でしょう。人の流れができていますから、その人たちの後を付いていけばたどり着くのです。最初は門をくぐって、敷地に入ります(写真4)。

敷地に入ったら、天守閣が見えます(写真5)。この日は晴天で気持ちの良い散歩を楽しめました。デジカメの記録には2011年7月とありますが、どう見ても7月の服装ではありませんね(実際は2017年11月の訪問です)。私のデジカメもそろそろガタがきたのかもしれません。
あとは天守閣を目指して一直線！と言いたいところですが、途中でトイレに寄りましょう(写真6)。天守閣近くのトイレは混んでいるので、ここで済ませようという算段です。

ここまで料金なしで立入できましたが、世の中そう甘くありません。ここからは料金が必要です(写真7)。天守閣見物には1000円かかります。団体料金だと800円だったと思います。私はこの場限りの団体を構成しようとも一瞬考えましたが、たかだか200円なので諦めました。

いよいよ天守閣です。天守閣が城の中心的役割を担っていると思いきや、実は装飾性や権力の誇示という側面が強かったようです。確かに、あんな階段を日常的に活用していたとは思いにくいです。

天守閣の入口で靴を脱いで、袋に入れます(写真16)。袋を持ちながらの見学となりますので、紛失に注意しましょう。下駄箱に入れないシステムですから、靴の盗難や空きの下駄箱探しをしなくて済むのは良いですよね。

天守閣はもともとそう多くの人が入れるように考えられていません。そのため、要所要所で渋滞します。その渋滞の最中に、内部を何枚か収録しました。多くの写真がぶれてしまいましたが、何となく様子がわかるものを掲載いたします(写真17-18)。現在は電灯が灯っていますが、建築当時はこのような電灯もなかったので、さぞかし暗かったことでしょう。姫路城は窓も大きくありませんしね。

姫路城の天守閣は「お飾り」の意味合いが強いのですが、お城は一応軍事施設です。現代の米軍基地のようなものです。そのためか、ちゃんと軍事施設の意味合いも見て取れました。階段の上部には階段を封鎖する板があります(写真19)。これによって、敵の襲来から身を守るのでしょう。

天守閣の上のほうまでいくと、どんどん通路が狭くなります。そのため、さらに混雑します。その混雑をさばくため、案内人もいました。案内人の権限は絶対で皆が従って、順番待ちしています(写真20)。別の場所でも待たされたので、階段を撮影しました(写真21)。このような写真を撮影しているのは、周囲には私だけでした。みんな内容には興味ないようですね。もっと登り、最上階に達します。もう人だらけです。これでは中をよく見る気にはなりません。姫路市の景色を堪能することにしました。

I decided to enjoy the scenery of Himeji city.

人々の間を縫って街並みを観察しました(写真23-26)。現代の都市という感じです。昔ながらの街並みは残っていません。日本を含めて東アジアは通気性の良い木造の建物を建てて、必要に応じて建て直すという文化のためなのでしょう。それでも自然が残っていることは感じます。なお、写真11は天守閣の最上階から撮影したものではありません。あらかじめご了承ください。昔の街並みも再現されていました(写真27)。
この後は気をつけて階段を下りながら、おおよそ34分で天守閣の観光を終えたのです。

After that, carefully, descending the stairs, I managed to finish the sightseeing of the castle tower. Approximately 34 minutes took time.

天守閣を出てしばらく歩きますと、お菊井戸が現れます。私の説明よりも実際の写真を眺めたほうがよくわかると思います(写真30-32)。正直、ありがたみはありませんでした。
